My name is Ambaye Kidane. I am currently living in Toronto, Canada. My top 5 livability criteria are as follows: 1) Economy, 2) Infrastructure, 3) Health Care, 4) Education, and 5) Safety The reasons I love and enjoy living in Toronto are its highly diversified economy, extensive network of infrastructure, access to quality health care and education services and its safety. To what extend does your own place of residence fulfill your ideal livability criteria? Overall ranking: 80/100. Breakdown is as follows: 1. Economy 80/100 2. Infrastructure 75/100 3. Health Care 80/100 4. Education 80/100 5. Safety 85/100 What would I change? I would identify the shortage of affordable housing and transit as the key two areas that need improvement. Why do we move? If I got the opportunity to live and work in another country, I would put Barcelona, Berlin and Copenhagen at the top of my list. The same 5 factors that make me enjoy my life in Toronto attract me to the above three cities. These include the economic environment, extensive infrastructure, the availability of accessible medical and education services, and safety.
