This is an iconic bridge that was recently built in Toronto, connecting CF Eaton Center Shopping Centre with Hudson's Bay. The global partnership was extensive in this project. The bridge was designed by Wilkinson Eyre Architects based in London, England. Partnership with Toronto based Architects Zeilder. The steel frame and beams are fabricated in Hamilton, Ontario. The ornamental bronze plate was made in Germany. The 355 pieces of slumped glass was from Iltaly. The granite material was taken from a quarry in Italy. Lighting from manufactured in Canada. Every team bought in their expertise and resources to create the iconic bridge that attracts tourists and social media. If the developer did not extend the team internationally and decided to provide a turn-key scenario all based in Canada, we will still get a bridge. But it will not be a bridge that we see today.
