Food is one of the best example for explaining about stocks and flows in a city. Here i have taken a place at chennai,India to explain about this concept. The food supplied to the city has various forms like vegetables, fruits,etc., The food comes from in and around chennai surrounding areas for the city supply. The high level of carbon-dioxide is produced during its travel from origin to the source. The stocks were the quantities and the flows were measured quantities per time. The stocks and flows helps analyze the usage pattern of the city and its supplies.
