2-For living in a city of tropical climate and its proximity to the coastline, most of the day the climate is pleasant due to the sea winds. It is possible to notice the difference in the center, which despite having some beaches, is composed by most of the high buildings of the city, in addition to the lack of permeability of the streets, which do not have a significant number of trees that would contribute to soften the heat . The first photo was taken by me, a resident of the city center, where you can see the high density of the buildings, which contributes to the creation of heat islands. The second image (taken by Roberto Sarti) relates to a more rural area known as Buenos Aires. There it is possible to feel the temperature difference, by the low density of construction, its green areas and waterfalls. 3-Increase the permeable area, planting trees, changing materials, green roofs and vertical gardens, etc. 4-Until then, policies were not thought to solve the problem, because, because it is a coastal city, Guarapari does not suffer so much with the UHI effect.
