The city has a river that flows into the sea: Capibaribe River. The stock of water in this river is used, mainly, to necessities of the low-income inhabitants. Although the neglect with the river, there are some companies that value the existence of these waters by encouraging people to make sightseeing by boat. People in the city can be stock and flow. Stocks can include the population that lives in the city. But also there are flows, considering the attractiveness in the Carnival, a period between February and March. The level of people in the city can increase in this period, giving to the commerce new ways to attract tourist to our culture. Also, there are stocks and flows of density in the city. Recife is a metropolitan area that is getting bigger every year. The number of buildings instead of houses is getting higher even in the areas with a typology of lower pavements. Thus, the stocks of density are not definitive in Recife, considering the big growth of the city. To benefit our city, these stocks and flows need more careful analysis through professionals. This way, we can act positively in the city understanding how it works.
