Bamboo is very good sustainable alternative material for building construction. Rather than bamboo, in India there are other various materials which are to be used as an alternative material and they are easily available on site. like in this picture house with stone and lime mortar is shown. Stone is easily available in Ahwa district of dang area. Stone and lime mortar are used for construction of walls, wood is used for construction of roof truss and clay tiles are used as a covering materials. foundation of this structures are made up of this stones only. This type of construction is allowed till two floors. this are the most sustainable option for this particular location as its a vernacular material.
