There is always a need to repair and restore buildings, especially monumental ones. However, as time pass by, it is nearly impossible to be using the exact same materials used originally. In the picture, we can see that they are currently renovating the side walls of the building. Materials such as concrete and steel would usually be imported from near by countries. Advancement of building technology from around the world will also be integrated in the rehabilitation plan of the building. These techniques that would be implemented will require tools and resources that may not be locally available. All these greatly highlight the globalization of the world and how it benefited the construction industry.
