Plastic comes into our area as mainly packaging from grocery purchases and stays as re-purposed plastic either for other uses in the home and finally leaves as garbage collected by the town council. In the future, we hope recycling will take root in Uganda and we can re-use plastic for other uses in the home like building and renovation works or alternatives to plastic waste will be developed so that it vanishes from the area all together
