Jordan's Sankey diagram reflects it's "petrotopic" approach to the urban formation. The high reliance of cars on transportation and wanting public transportation, transport makes up most of the consumption of the country. There has been measures to decrease that by lowering import tariffs on hybrid cars and exempting electric cars from import tariffs, and that has increased the total number of electric and hybrid cars in the market. However, creating public transportation will have a more drastic effect on lowering oil imports and consumption. Another noticeable figure is that more than half of the gas that enters the power station is lost due to inefficiencies. Jordan receives approximately 310 sunlight days a year and has vast unbuilt spaces in the desert, however, these spaces are not yet installed with wind or solar farms to harness energy. There has been an increase in installing solar panels on roofs, however, the electric grid and company which were privatized have put measures to discourage reliance on solar panels as their revenues are decreasing. Nuclear energy has been discussed as jordan is rich in uranium however due to political factors it is slow in development. *If the image is used please credit name
