To sum up the most important stocks and flows of a city isn’t possible however one can at least create an order even if it is a vague one. The most important stocks and flows of ‘Konstanz’, a town located in Germany, probably are: water, immigration and information. Situated on a large lake, water is one of the main elements of the town. The mountains surrounding the lake create a constant flow of fresh water which then flows directly into it and therefore creates a stock. This water then is integrated into the infrastructure of the town. It can be used as drinking water creating new kinds of flows or in agriculture which also is a big part of the towns hinterland. Due to the political situation of Germany there was a huge flow of immigration to be observed. During this time the stock of people living in this area for a long time were being mixed with new people enriching them with new elements of cultures. As a town known for its excellent university the exchange of information is crucial. There is a constant flow of information as well as a storage of it.
