Stocks & Flows, in Sudan • Agriculture and food production About one-third of the total area of Sudan is fertile and suitable for growing crops, Some of the lands have big reservoirs (stocks) and annual rainfalls (flows), these stocks and flows of water contribute to the grow of multiple types of crops such as: sesame, corn, cotton, wheat, etc. The agricultural sector is the highest among the country's exports, The production flows outside the country, but also inside to fulfill the need of the population from rural to urban areas. The management of this sector and the resourses has not reached a decent amount of qualification yet, in the future a more attention to the stocks and flows of Agriculture should be paid. • Water, Nile river The nile river flows throughout the lands of Sudan, making a the land fertile after it floods during Autumn, and contributing to the process of agriculture, moreover a percentage of water of the nile is reserved by the dams for supplying the cities with energy and electricity.
