Stocks and Flows in Wädenswil:- 1- Flow of people – wädenswil is growing, with more and more people settling there. There is the pull of being close to Zurich, having good schools and having a relatively large expat community. As well as the “slow” flow over time – of more people settling here, “day to day” flows are easily seen i.e. in the movement of the people into Zurich to work. 2- Stock of residential buildings – wädenswil is in a boom phase. New residential building are being built everywhere. Whilst most are “high end”, there is some pressure politically, to ensure that a certain stock of housing is affordable. There is now also pressure to ensure that infrastructure such as schools, bus services, space for recreation etc. keeps up. 3- Flow of water – wädenswil is lucky in that it is on the edge of lake Zurich. Most water comes from the lake. However, in summer of 2018, the lack of rain & consequences thereof could be clearly seen. Inner city trees were really struggling with the heat, private and park lawns and gardens went brown through lack of water. Wädenswil did not have to implement water restrictions specifically,
