This is a photo of the site where I'm currently working. The country of the United Arab Emirates is predominantly occupied by desert land and hence natural minerals are very hard to find. Hence most of the construction material is being imported which has given rise to one of the major developed countries in the Middle East. The raw materials for steel are imported either from China or India whereas machinery tools are imported from Germany, Italy, France etc. The globalization in the construction industry has thus allowed the United Arab Emirates to become a developed country with state of the art of the buildings as the Burj Khalifa (tallest tower in the world) from it's humble beginnings of buildings and forts constructed with naturally available materials such as compressed earth, date palm thatches and timber.
