In this picture you can see the metro, which is used as public transportation in the city, in the middle of the street taking one rail to it and one of its stations. Ten years ago the metro didn´t exist, but it was proposed as a solution to decrease the number of buses inside the city. The first routes of it were in downtown and later it expanded to the rest of the city. One of the problems for the ground transportation was that the cars lost one rail; these produce more traffic especially in main streets. The fines for invading the metro rail are expensive and in some parts is control by cameras. Because of the traffic, in some main streets, now it´s aloud to share the metro rail in order to avoid traffic jam. Transportation infrastructure has an impact in the city architecture. Producing sometimes problems and other times solutions. It´s impact is visible in this example by a rail in the streets. And in function by the traffic it produce and the people who uses the metro to transport. I don’t think the metro is a bad idea to ground transportation in my city. It´s faster than regular buses and you can get to more places by just paying one time. One good idea would be to enable more metros in traffic hours to give more comfort to the users. And about the traffic, I guess sharing more rails in the streets that are too congested at some hours.
