There is a lot of Immigrants coming from other countries who decide to move in Montreal. It is a multi cultural city that is open minded to other cultures around the world. I think the city benefits from the stock and flows of people because locals get to discover other cultures. Also, it is good for the economy because there is a lack of employee in many work fields. These Immigrants can fill more jobs and make the economy grow. Maple syrup is a large local industry in the province of Quebec. They are also usually transformed on place also to become maple syrup. Since it is something that can only be collected from the region, the flows going out of the province is really important. It is more of a one way out than something that comes and goes. The pollution impact is reduced because there is less transportation in the product’s life cycle. Steel is a material used a lot in building construction. The flows coming in the region must be more important than the quantities going out of it. Slowly, it could be good for Quebec to develop expertise in steel recycling to import less from exterior.
