MODULE 6 1. The dominant fossil fuels used in India are: oil, coal, biofuels and waste and natural gas. 2. Dominant fossil fuels used mainly in India are: oil products, used for transportation and industries. Coal is used by industries. Biofuel waste is used by others. Natural gas is used by transportation and industries. 3. To improve the consumption of energy and encourage environment friendly and sustainable sources, I would promote the planning of spaces in such a way that maximum amount of daylight can be consumed (as shown in the picture), therefore reducing electricity generation by fossil fuels. Installation of solar panels will be encouraged. Also, proper site planning and use of proper building materials should be done to improve sustainability. Encouraging renewable sources of energy rather than non-renewable sources. Promote wind energy, solar energy, hydropower energy, biomass energy and geothermal energy by providing the required infrastructure.
