The idea is to implant sensors in all city infrastructure elements (lamp posts, bridges, sewage pipes etc....) and provide a live feed of the life span / issues with every tagged entity. This feedback is linked to a BIM system that allows the governing body in the city to evaluate the issues (happening and upcoming) and create budget and time frame to fix these entities. The citizen will register to an app and it will grant him access to see the issues happening in his neighborhood as well as the budget and the time frame needed to fix it. This systems is intended to create transparency in public spending as well as efficiency in tackling infrastructure problems in the city. This app will help avoid incidents like the bridge collapse in Italy lately and probably save lives.
