This picture from my flat shows the dependency of Rotterdam on water infrastructure. Water is everywhere and constitutes one of the main infrastructural elements used by industry (the port and related shippers, carriers etc) as well as by inhabitants, who regularly leverage water infrastructure by taking a yellow water taxi (seen on the picture).
