2. To start-up a citizen design science project, I would consider one of two alternatives depending on the scope and budget for the project. The first alternative I would consider would be to do fieldwork using flyers and questionnaires to get feedback from local citizens. These would include questions regarding what they consider the problem to be, what perception of security they have, why they have this perception of insecurity, and what they believe would fix the perceived insecurity in the evening. Additionally, I would get feedback from citizens regarding how alarming this problem is, and if it should be prioritized. Using this data, I would try to gather conclusions, and search for patterns in the habitants perception of security. Then, I would come up with a solution, which integrates and takes into account the information and data gathered by the citizens, and use it to propose a solution for insecurity in the evening. Finally, before implementation, I would do some additional fieldwork, and talk to citizens about how they feel about this proposal, and if they believe it would solve their problem. The second, more expensive alternative, would involve creating an app or website to gather this data.
