1. The dominant fossil fuels used in Colombia according to IEA.org are Oil and Gas. 2. The dominant fossil fuels are mainly used for Transport, Industry and other consumptions. 3. In order to improve the environmentally friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy in Colombia I would first create economic incentives for companies and households to use renewable sources of energy such as Solar panels (as seen above) and wind turbines. I would do this by subsidizing the initial investment needed for individuals and companies to invest in the set up of these renewable sources until there is a critical mass of users and until it becomes a predominant source of energy. Additionally, I would pass legislation to force all individuals and companies to move to renewable sources of income by a certain date. This would give a time to adapt to these new technologies, and create incentives for people to adapt them early on. Finally, I would not allow new companies, and new building projects to be build without renewable sources of energy.
