Although I have three possible alternatives to get to work, as can be seen on the attached diagram, I usually take an Uber to and from work. The possible alternatives are the following: 1. Walk, Bus, Walk: Out of the three alternatives this is my favorite alternative, yet it is one I rarely take. This alternative combines the pleasure of walking and interacting with the environment, with the pleasure of riding a bus with different citizens, and understanding and sharing space with different humans. I don't mind that this alternative takes longer, because it is not only cheaper but also makes me happier. I don't usually take this alternative because I have to take an expensive computer, and important work documents to and from work, and Bogota is a city that is very insecure. 2. Uber: Not a significantly expensive alternative, very effective in time it takes to start and end the trip, but not particularly enjoyable. 3. Bicycle: The most enjoyable of all the alternatives, but as bicycle lanes are not complete, there is the need to take detours, to ride on the street alongside buses and cars, and Bogotá rain also affects this alternative.
