The main UHI effects that I can identify include a temperature difference between the city center, and its surrounding rural areas. This is clearly felt, when one is in the city, the temperature is high, however, as one travels outward into the Bogota savanna, the temperature drops. The temperature in Bogota is now at, 54 degrees F, while the temperature for the suburban areas is 48 degrees F. The first image shows a dense city center, with many buildings and a large population. The second, on the other hand, shows a savanna with little population or density. 3. Which are the measures you would propose? I would force buildings to have green roof and/or white or light-colored painted roofs.
