What are the dominant fossil fuels used in your country? Oil and Coal are the predominant - there is also gas but it is significatively less. Where are the dominant fossil fuels mainly used for in your country? Transport and “others” are the predominant uses for fossil fuels in Colombia - I assume others are housing cooling and heating systems, energy for light the city etc. It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? In order to improve the environment policies in Colombia it is required to make a turn in the way the whole economy is set: from extractive economy only based in the exports of petroleum and coal to farming and stronger clean energy requirements for industries. From there, it would be easier to take advantage of other resources such as storing heat in the coasts through solar panels and using rivers and lakes for hydraulic energy in the middle of the country.
