1. Curitiba has taken part in the FreshWater Watch (FWW), a citizen science project that supports local freshwater research in urban areas. Participants form a global network and are responsible for uploading data on water quality of local aquatic systems onto a common open-access database. 2. Curitiba already has a online platform (central 156) where citizens can record their complaints and request of urban services. I would suggest to benefit from this running platform and create special projects for neighborhoods or public spaces that need intervention. Residents of these areas could suggest preferential spots for public lighting, police stations and activities that bring animation in the street after business hours. Also, they could indicate the places where assaults or other situations of risk occurred for a more intense monitoring. 3. I. Introduction and motivation - Present, through the inclusion of local agents and community leaders in the direction of the Project. II. Support users in completing their task and understand the expertise level of users III. Make use of all the information collected, incorporate in the study IV. Feedback and review of results achieved in a return meeting with the community VI. Keep the public platform running for community monitoring.
