1) Stockholm, Vienna, Copenhagen, Zürich, Amsterdam 2) A liberal political climate and noteworthy “public spirit” (expressed, for example, by openness to foreigners and influences from outside the domestic society) are very important to me. The physical appearance of the built environment comes second, as I appreciate the aesthetics of well-designed buildings or public parks. The climate follows; ideally not to cold, lots of sun and just little rain. I consider infrastructure to be of high relevance, too, be it transportation, healthcare, or education. Finally, a wide cultural offer is an important aspect of liveability to me as well. 3) Berlin has become an open, liberal city, as can be seen by plenty of newcomers and ever-increasing accommodations. Many new buildings have recently been developed, older ones refurbished, so the city´s outlook undoubtfully improved. The climate is moderate, and the infrastructure ... is getting better, too! The cultural offer can even be considered world-class. It needs to be observed, however, whether the city´s efforts to keep pace with its growth will be sustainable, particularly as gentrification has become a serious issue. Thus, city planning faces major tasks, the solutions for which should not be developed with just the next elections
