Based on the cities I have experienced, in my opinion, these cities had the highest liveable characteristics. 1. Toronto, Canada 2. Dubai, UAE 3. Abu Dhabi, UAE 4. Calgary, Canada 5. Bangkok Thailand The five characteristics that make a city liveable for me, includes: 1. Clean and litter free streets and neighborhoods 2. Pleasant pedestrian accessibility for all, including the disables 3. Accessibility to public transportation and other alternatives to private vehicle 4. Safe and drug free environments 5. Access to entertainment and recreations for all age groups I currently am a resident of Dubai, were the city is exceptionally litter free and clean. The city is also starting take into account sustainability and recycling of waste. A lot of efforts have taken to make pedestrian friendly paths; however, they did not consider creating more shaded paths for the extreme heat. Also the paths are not well designed for a person on wheelchair. The public transportation is well developing and well designed. More progress needs to be done to reduce road traffic though. The city is also very safe with excellent police. The city also has many entertainment and recreation centers for all age group. In other words, it is hard to be bored in Dubai.
