1)housing 2) Job Opportunities 3)Culture 4) Safety 5) Transportation 1. I lived in Medellin for about a year and a half (I am currently traveling, so I technically don’t live where I am). I moved from my hometown because Medellin was reasonable affordable, even for “good” neighborhoods. The transportation infrastructure is really nice, the train and cable cars are in excellent conditions. The city has great nightlife and excellent weather. 2. There was good job opportunities for most of people, the train was very handy and there was good culture: the city was clean and people seem to have strong sense of belonging. Rooms and apartments were affordable. 3. People in Medellin tend to be a little bit racist and there is a strong regionalism there. A lot of citizens seems to praise the narco-culture. Job opportunities are good for people that was born there, or in the capital. Sometimes it feels sketchy to walk even in the nice neighborhoods. 4. Bogota, Mexico City and Buenos Aires.
