Z.8 - Guatemala City, Guatemala In my personal opinion this should be the center of city and one of the most important area. In this area you can drive in 5 minutes to any important place of the city. The picture show a market called "La Terminal". Is one of the biggest places where you can get vegetables, fruits or any kind of cheap product. Today is close most of the places but all this people work about 20hours per day. in my opinion i'ts so inspiring to see all the people working at 4:00am and also i feel blessed to see that every day (of course just sundays this people, in my opinion well deserve, they rest) The two "invisible information" i choose are: 1. Number of buildings versus number of households. 2. Types of buildings I select Types of buildings: The picture is so square like little boxes an grey like todays weather. Just like i said before, here's the belly button of the city. But also is one of the messiest area of the city. The problem is that we got supermarkets, parking lots, bus stops, little houses becoming a church, and also people selling stuff on the sidewalk, drug store, gas station and there's a lot of more stuff. But as you can see at the picture. We can get a lot of diferent infomation about the diferent types of buildings. Most of buildings are made for foremans that doesn't know about design and urban planning. Also you can see an unfinished market with all the exposed structure. I mean it's good to have diferent kind of places that provide diferent kind of services, but the problem is that is in the middle of the city and many people around the whole the country (people from the rural areas) come to this place to sale their diferent products. And all of this can be one of the most biggest problem of unhealthy cities wich my opinion is CARS. People spend about 4 years driving from their house to their work in their whole life. I mean that creates a lot of stress and also is a waste of time. So basically this is my picture and the "invisible information" that provides this urban area. It's not too bad to see this kind of information. We can solve these problems and became a better cities with all the invisible information and its derivatives.
