As technology advances through the 21st century, and social media is literally in everyone's grasp, it is impossible for infrastructure to be left in the speed of progress. Now that it is easy to report the problems in infrastructure through social media, solutions should be taken into deep consideration into providing answers to these problems. In Manila, it is almost on a daily basis that the railway breaks down and makes it more difficult for the working population to go to their workplaces. Water should also be easily accessible to all communities in the urban and rural setting. In the tropical region, contaminated water can be a source of multiple of diseases that harms the society. Energy too should be highly developed to accommodate the new renewable sources found in nature like solar and wind. The government should implement legislations that would enhance the use of the renewable energy and restrict the use of harmful non-renewable sources of energy. But it is up to us, the people, who would determine the fate of the infrastructures in the 21st century. If we let it be of sub-standard quality, or a quality that is set upon the standards of those who want to make a better world, it is entirely up to us. We should always be mindful of the consequences and benefits of the actions we do towards achieving a sustainable future.
