Some important stocks and flows of Paris: - People - Food - Demographic density - Land People: Paris is a international and touristic. Therefore there is a constant flow of tourists and immigrants, which can create a permanent or temporary stock, such as students that stay only a couple of years. Food: food becomes a necessity in the more touristic season, generating a strong flow to maintain restaurants. The outflow of trash also increases. Demographic density: is in constant flow. August is an example of a month in which Parisians leave the city for holidays. In September, tourists enter the city at the same time Parisians come back, generating a strong flow of demographic density. Land: it has been stock for a long time but, through its history, Paris has gained land by redesigning the river Seine, bringing the city to its edge. I believe that this dynamic of stocks and flows is somewhat healthy for the economy of Paris. However, it requires a strong necessity of infrastructure and transportation for the flow of goods and trash to and from the city, generated by the tourists. With urban agriculture and more recycling, perhaps this flow could have less environmental
