As in Ho Chi Minh City, I would like to propose the most 3 important stocks and flows that enter, stay in and eventually leave the city: labor force / capital / water. The labor force of HCMC comes from 2 sources, those who live in the city and those who come from another city, mostly from the countryside or satellite cities. The former type can be considered stock, as they mostly are born in this city, grow up and live here while the latter usually come to HCMC for study after completing their high school and stay in the city for work after graduating from university or college. The capital is one of the most important factor for the development of the city as HCMC is the economic center of Vietnam. The capital can come from within the city, from people inside who work, do business, provide services, etc. or come from outside of the city, from the government or even from other countries in form of ODA or loans, etc. Water, can on 1 side come from reused water generated within the city or come from the rivers at the banlieue of the city.
