In the picture, we can clearly see the city at night relies heavily on electricity in order to function properly. The most obvious demand is lighting. But also we need electricity for heating in winter, cooling in summer, boiling water, and even using electronic devices. It's hard to imagine a city without the electricity network nowadays. We depend on this infrastructure so much that it has been taken for granted.
