This photo shows the central area (called CITY) in Melbourne Australia. Firstly, the weather is pretty good with blue sky and lovely clouds; the street is also very clean, which suggesting this place is seemingly a livable city. The leaves are fallen which suggesting now is winter. Secondly, the photo was taken at the crossing and the traffic seemed light; there is few pedestrian on the street. Lastly, there is a two-level historical building in the front, with many skyscrapers in the back. Two invisible information is 1. the function of the skyscrapers. Whether it is business office or living apartment? Actually most of the skyscrapers in the photo are apartments. 2. the characteristics of inhabitants working or living in this area? Most people living in cities are international students who are studying in Melbourne and tourists. Melbourne is a livable urban city and it is famous for higher level education and tourism. Through analyzing the characteristics of inhabitants living in this area, urban planner may use this information to design more convenient travel routes, for example routes that connecting from this central area to international airport, to sightseeing places, and to universities.
