First, food is a key stock and flow in our city. You can observe many food, fresh or canned, imported from other areas/countries that are on sale in supermarkets. They are produced, transported, and consumed by people. Afterwards, they either stay in our body as nutrition or leave the city as waste. Transportation means can be another stock and flow. Parking lots and automobile retailers contain a stock of transportation vehicles. Cars and bikes on the road are a flow of transportation that also carries with it a flow of people. Capital is a virtual stock and flow that is continuously influencing the city development. As people invest money in the city's industries, the flow comes in. Then it can be transformed, exchanged or destroyed. The stock and flow of capital fuels the city's engine so that it keeps moving forward. All these three stocks and flows can change the future city for the better. Food caan be provided in better quality; transportation can be carried out with more efficiency; capital can be put into use with more thorough research and wiser decisions. Consequently, they can help in building a more desired urban life for the citizens and the world.
