Tokyo has several stock and flow related to water. When Tokyo started to be built, drinking water [flow] was prepared by waterways from remote rivers. In order to use wate trafic, prevent the Edo castle, and avoid disasters by water, creeks were built sparally from the center of the Edo castle, and the too large stream of Tone river changed far from the Edo castle in the 17th century. Nowaday, people enjoyed the water system [stock]. Thanks to the water system, because spiral creeks can expand on demand, increasing population [stock] can use rich water in Tokyo (old name: Edo).
