This is photo showing Voi town. Despite the poorly built houses, the town has so much happenning. The power lines running through the small town are are example for the high dependency on electricity. On the far horizon is a newly built train track that is considered a grand milestone in the Kenyan infrastucture.ie. the SGR. This is to show what people prioritise here in Kenya. Poor housing does not deter many from trying to be part of the network both nationally and internationally. This can be seen from the picture, at the bottom left corner whereby one of the residents has a DSTV dish thus afford to make monthly payments to get global news and information while still living in those poorly maintained houses. The dependence and focus on these various forms of infrastucture have caused people to overlook there quality of life as seen even in this remote town.
