The building in the figure is the Edge in Amsterdam. It's both the smartest and the greenest building in the world. BREEAM rewarded the building with the highest sustainability score ever given: 98.4%. Solar panels are integrated in the building and they produce more electricity than the building's need. Furthermore, the building is, as already said, super intelligent. It knows where you live, what car you drive, who's you're meeting with that day and how much sugar you take in your coffee. No-one has an own desk, the building lets you know which seat fits you best for that day based on your schedule and the schedules of all other people in the building. The building has also an aquifer thermal storage, which is the most efficient one in the world. All together, it's clear that this building is a great example of a physical and software system.
