The building on the picture is a timber building structurally designed by the firm I'm currently doing an internship at. Only the foundation and some elements in the floors are constructed out of concrete, the rest of the building is constructed out of timber and a very small proportion of steel. Because of the high percentage of timber, the building is incredibly sustainable. But as you know, the Netherlands is not very large and furthermore, we don't have large woody areas. So all the timber used in this building, has to be imported. I'm not sure where the timber in this building is exactly coming from. But most timber in the Netherlands is imported from America and also from Scandinavia. The building isn't constructed yet by the way. It's still in the design phase. But the start of construction will start soon.
