FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"
Uploaded on 2018-08-25 by Matt Lyons
The following invisible information is in this scene: - Pollution (particularly air and noise) - Plant and soil conditions To take the first example, air and noise pollution can be measured with sensors. This is in a built-up suburban area, and to the right of the frame there are a number of houses which might be affected by air and noise pollution. By using sensors to measure this pollution, particularly coming from the trains and the worksite across the tracks, urban planners could identify whether additional fencing or soundproofing is needed to reduce noise in the residential area. Doing so would potentially improve the livability of the area by providing cleaner air and more peace and quiet.
