Here is a photo of one of the newest malls in Bangkok, Thailand. Marketed as a development with an innovative connection to nature and "green" elements, the way the building was constructed was clearly reliant on the international construction materials industry. While concrete is produced in large quantities within Thailand, steel, glass and other building materials play a large part in the construction process here. Waste management in the construction process is also not strong.
