I could not think of my own CDS or find evidence of any local CDS project, so I decided to contribute with a few thoughts on guidelines for those creating and/or managing CDS projects. 3. Guidelines for CDS projects - Make sure that it is easy for the citizens to use, otherwise they are not likely to participate. - Make sure that any software to collect data is compatible with multiple platforms, not just iOS for instance. - Data security should be of high priority. Trust is important for participation. - Provide participants and other stakeholder with a clear description of the project purpose, timeframe, scope et cetera. - Establish well-defined success criteria for the project. - Ensure two-way communication and follow-up on gathered and analyzed data to secure and communicate project progress and further direction. - Make a milestone plan to establish some commitment to progress.
