FC-01x Future Cities (Self-Paced) - Exercise 1 : "Making the Invisible - Visible"

Singapore is 6th in the World's 50 'Smartest' Cities in 2018 according to the Center for Globalization and Strategy at Barcelona’s IESE Business School’s annual list of the world's smartest cities according to its Cities in Motion Index. Singapore is fitted with state-of-the-art technologies such as sensors and cctv cameras around the city. This makes it easy to acquire and convert data for future urban planning. In the photograph, we can see "visible data" such as vehicles, pedestrians, advertising, media, video, sound, light, buildings, eateries, shopping, and more. As for the "Invisible Data" we can find out the traffic situation at that junction, eg, the number of vehicles and at what time of the day the traffic was the heaviest. We can also calculate the same thing with the pedestrians. As for the transportation, we can convert the acquired vehicle data into traffic knowledge, so that it can be used to plan more livable spaces for the future.
