It is your task to create a new policy in order to improve the environmental friendly and sustainable sources and consumption of energy of your country. How would you do that? Think of how you can improve the sources and the consumption of energy. Promote the production, distribution and supply of electricity in Colombia. This production will supply electricity to millions of inhabitants as well as to customers in industry and trade. One important prerequisite for safeguarding future electricity supply is to integrate the new Colombian electricity market to the activities that move the actual economy. The reform of the energy sources in Colombia is crucial to create a strong and new competition of the environmental friendly and sustainable sources. Colombia has sustainable sources of energy by now such as hydro production, and biofuels and waste production. Therefore by changing policies that encourages the growth of this two existing energy sources and also the creation of other sustainable sources such as wind, solar, geothermal and tide energies. By increasing the supplier of electricity, will generate the opportunity to increase the demand of electricity as well. If the dominant user of Oil is the transport, by promoting the use of electric transportation by transforming policies and incentive people to use this innovative way to move. Promoting the use of electric buses and cars inside the cities, or even move the people and the goods around the country in electric transport. In that way the fossil fuels production and the CO2 release will reduce considerably.
