Which are the main UHI effects that you can identify in your area? - In my opinion, the import of many old and used vehicles with low eco standards are one of the main reason for UHI and pollution in our cities. That affects our transportation system where public transport doesn't have a good organization, it's not modernized and often lacks of capacity. This transportation problems are affected also with the bad infrastructure, particularly in the city centers. Also, the low energy management - not using our nature potentials for renewable energy is a huge disadvantage for a country in 21st century. 3. Which are the measures you would propose? - I would propose preparation of contemporary energetic strategy witch will develop the green energy sector. Also I would purpose preparation of infrastructure and public transportation strategy, that will allow the citizens better quality and faster traveling. Also, the building energy loss should be reduced. 4. Is UHI effect concerning policy making in your area? - UHI are notable only in the biggest cities in the country and only there are some citizen movements about this problem, but the problem is in the lack of awareness.
