A. Provisioning services Food: the area around the town is mostly agricultural with fields of wheat and canola. B. Regulating services Erosion prevention: the terrain around the town is slightly hilly and trees are dotted around to prevent erosion of soil and also mark paths throughout the landscape. C. Habitat or supporting services Habitat for species: the river to the east of the town is home to a number of fish species, various amphibians, birds and insects. D. Cultural services Recreation: dotted around the town are a number of forests that provide recreation and during periods of the year also aesthetic appreciation. Some of the forests are also used for research purposes.
