A lot of temperature differences in US cities, and - as I expected - high temperature differences in Baltimore and relatively low in Memphis. Image 1 shows the temperature differences in Rotterdam. You can clearly see that the old city center is the warmest, the suburbs - with more greenery - are cooler and the hinterland is cool as well. The harbor area has to deal with UHI as well, I think because of the hard surfaces and radiation (concrete, containers). I live close to Delfshaven, which has more water surface and has a relatively low UHI effect.
