Uploaded on 2018-07-27 by Lars Duindam
1. The old building in the picture represents Amsterdam Central Station. A good example of the information that is visible in this picture is the information provided by the traffic signs. Another example is the weather, you barely see any clouds and the sky is clear blue, so the weather must be nice. 2. Examples of invisible information in this picture: - The traffic flows within Amsterdam: As already mentioned, the old building is Amsterdam Central Station. In front of the building, you can see a lot of bikes and some trams. All these types of modalities describes the way of transport of the people. - The history of Amsterdam: It may be far-fetched, but the design of the train station describes a little bit the history of the city. The building was designed at the end of the 19th century. 3. Improving the infrastructure and accessibility of the city is much easier if one is able to understand and simulate the traffic flows within the city. Bottlenecks can be addressed and the be solved.
