Bengaluru is the IT hub of India and was also known as 'garden city' due to the large number of picturesque lakes and greenery. Like any other city practically all the daily needs of the city have to brought in from neighboring regions making the city unsustainable. It is presently facing a huge water crisis making people ask if Bangalore is going to be the next Cape Town. The daily needs like food(brought from nearby villages and towns), water(from the Kaveri river and rainwater) and fuel(for almost all secondary activities and to aid tertiary activities. Eg: Commutation, factories and production mills ) can be considered as 'flow'. The people and their land are the only long-term stable things thus making them the 'stock' of the city. Since Bangalore is a IT hub, people stream in and out of the city making the people neither the stock nor the flow of the city. People are now realizing the worth and necessity of water for their future needs. So, it can be be predicted that in the future, Bangalore will regain its lost glory as the "Garden City" by replenishing its lakes and greenery.
