Jhansi, U.P., India The students, employees and human labor coming to the city in order to make their means of living or to have a better quality of life create a flow of people from the hinterland to the main city. The employees which are currently a floating population, get settled in the city and then invest the money in various services or to enjoy other facilities of the city. The labor class works in the city during day time for some days in a week and takes the money earned back to their farmlands in the outer rural areas of the city. The money earned is thus invested in their agricultural practices. The food that they produce is then sold in the cities. After the raw materials are processed and packed, they are transported to markets for sale. This food, as a resources, then flows across the city. Thus, the city cannot function on its own. It needs people, activities and material to make it function. Now, if we the city develops its infrastructure and opportunities in a manner that the employee with temporary jobs get permanent ones, they can eventually contribute more towards the city.
