This is a photograph of the expressway to The Bangalore international airport from the main City of Bangalore. the International airport was shifted from the city center to the outskirts roughly 10 yrs ago to accommodate more Runways. In this act, they chose area roughly 50 kms away from the city and hence would take more than 2 hours to travel through the congested city limits as well as village roads outside the city limits just to reach the Airport. Hence the new expressway was constructed so that one could reach the airport in around 45minutes. Everyday this expressway carries thousands of people to and from the airport. It has also set off huge amount of development on either side of the entire stretch of the expressway and landprices have skyrocketed there.
